My work is all about revisiting people who have shaped history. I follow the trail of those who found a mission in the pursuit of true happiness: A sustainable world of peace and joy. Where human and animal dignity, alongside nature, and respect for cultural and religious diversity reign and prevail.
That would be a truly civilized world, where survival is not only for the fittest, but for all; where lives and rights are sacred and upheld.
Through my art I attempt to make visible the stories of people who sought and worked to create such a world. People who have made it a their life goal to rally against wars, institutionalised injustice, inhumanity, racism, neoliberal capitalism and other scourges of human greed.
Through this series I focus on those who have rewritten history, those who dedicate their lives to the quest of sustainable and human dignity. Women and men who shine a light, torchbearers of progress in the true sense of the word.
